Woodward Library Society Spring Social In-Person
Billy Renkl is an acclaimed artist and educator based in Clarksville, Tennessee. He studied at Auburn University and the University of South Carolina, and in 1989, he became a professor of art at Austin Peay State University, where he currently teaches. His artwork has been exhibited internationally, including shows in Nashville, New York City, and Berlin. He is known for his collage work and has illustrated several books including The Comfort of Crows and Late Migrations by Margaret Renkl, and When You Breathe by Diana Farid. His work is held in numerous public and institutional collections nationwide, including the Tennessee State Museum and Vanderbilt University's Special Collections.
